Mwamba Rugby Club on Sunday attended a church service and luncheon at CITAM Buruburu that was presided over by Deputy Bishop and Senior Pastor Mr Ken Kimiywe.
At the luncheon, the church announced a partnership that will see it adopt Mwamba RFC. “We will offer discipleship and mentorship sessions for the players and management, organise regular prayer sessions at the club,” said Pastor Kimiye.
Mwamba Rugby was led by the club president,Mr Alvas Onguru and club chairman Mr George Mbaye. Others were club treasurer Mr Anthony Karanja, team manager Edgar Abere, Olympian and Kenyan international Humprey Kayange, Sharon Kerubo, George Mutuku among others.
CITAM Buruburu also offered an opportunity to Mwamba Rugby to reach out to their school (CITAM Primary and Secondary School) and community around, by organising coaching clinics and community outreach programs as the club deems fit.
The event was organised by CITAM Urban Missions Coordinator Pastor Purity Murungi.
