Stanbic Mwamba will play a friendly match against Impala Saracens on Saturday afternoon after their scheduled Enterprise Cup pre-quarterfinal against Kisii RFC was cancelled.
The club received an email from Kenya Rugby Union indicating that Kisii have confirmed that they will not be in a position to honor the match that was to set for Kisii Stadium. Subsequently, Kulabu have earned a free ticket to quarters where they will travel to Ruaraka to face KCB.
Meanwhile, Mombasa RFC II have also indicated their inability to travel to Nairobi for their Mwamba Cup against Mwamba II. The reserve will also travel to Ruaraka to play KCB II.
“It’s unfortunate that we won’t travel to Kisii for Enterprise Cup and Mombasa will not be coming to Railway Club for Mwamba Cup. On the brighter side, Impala have accepted our request to play two friendlies ahead of quarters scheduled for next week,” club’s director of rugby Edwin Waita spoke to MwambaRugby.com.
The friendly match will kick off at 3.00 pm and will be played at Impala Club on Saturday afternoon.
