#Kabeberi7s: Vumbi goes for glory in Meru

Stanbic Mwamba’s second side Vumbi is beaming with confidence ahead of George Mwangi Kabeberi Sevens Division II that will be played at Meru Showground over the weekend.

Vumbi was traditionally the second side of Stanbic Mwamba since the early 1980s as the senior side took up the moniker of Umeme, staying true to their African identities.

The Vumbi squad will be captained by George Omolla and has exciting talents in Mellegy Tendwa,Idriss Shariff, Marvin Odiembo and Augustine Kibiwott.

The Ugandan trio of Nicholas Kato, Daniel Katagera and Daniel Kisakyamukama will make their debut for Stanbic Mwamba in a competitive tournament.

Apollo Owino, James Ochieng, Biko Masiva and Martin Oyugi will complete the squad that will take on seasoned Kenya Cup and Championship sides.
