KENYA CUP: Stanbic Mwamba tie against Quins moved to Sunday

Stanbic Mwamba opening tie against Kenya Harlequin has been moved to Sunday November 18,2018 at RFUEA Grounds on compassionate grounds.

Quins requested for postponement as they mourn David “Muttley” Gitau, the former Kenya XV international scrum half, who passed away last weekend. He will be laid to rest on Saturday November 17,2018 in Kandara, Murang’a County.

Muttley played for Kenya Harlequins and was also capped for Kenya Simbas. At the time of his death, he had already pulled on another rugby hat as a referee.

The unfortunate turn of events have affected both Kenya Cup and Eric Shirley Shield matches that were to kickoff at 4pm and midday respectively. They will now be played on Sunday at the same venue.

Stanbic Mwamba management, staff, players and fans convey their heartfelt condolences to the Quins fraternity in this trying times.
