Modern Coast Coaches Limited has reaffirmed it’s commitment to partner with Mwamba Rugby Club and the annual George Mwangi Mwangi Kabeberi Sevens tournament.
The announcement comes after the club leadership lead by club president Alvas Onguru met with Mr. Hashim Sumra, Administration and Operations Manager at the giant transport firm’s offices in Nairobi.
“Modern Coast is delighted to be Mwamba RFC’s transport partner and will continue to support local talent under our corporate social responsibility. We are impressed with the progress of the club in terms of their development milestones and we are happy with direction of our unique partnership with the club,” said Mr. Sumra.
Modern Coast have at the same time announced that they will be partnering with the club during the forthcoming Kabeberi Sevens. “This is our commitment towards the rugby festivals. Rugby fans will be treated to a surprise package that will include a return trip to the venue, season tickets and other goodies,” he added.
Kabeberi Sevens will be held on August 17-19, 2018 at a venue to be announced later.
Club president Mr Onguru welcomed the announcement noting that it will greatly impact on Mwamba Rugby development plans: ” As a club, we are extremely grateful for the partnership with Modern Coast as it not only eases our transport and logistics , but it also reiterates the status of the Mwamba brand as a leading brand in Kenya rugby,”he said.
Mwamba Rugby Club announced a strategic partnership with leading luxury bus company Modern Coast to become the official Club transport partner in 2016. Through the partnership, Modern Coast sponsored the club financially as well as providing a branded bus to transport the club during local tournaments and league matches.
