Mwamba Kicks Off Enterprise Cup Campaign Against Bulls

Mwamba RFC will begin their 2015/2016 Enterprise Cup campaign against Western Bulls on Saturday 21 May 2016 at Nairobi Railway Club.

Bulls have been a tricky fixture for Black Shirts but they have been subdued this season. Mwamba won first leg 13-9 at home before thrashing the Kakamega-based lads 36-10 away at the Bull Ring.

In preparation for the tie, head coach Johnnie Mbai has named his team that features experienced players and fresh faces coming through the ranks.

Salaton Muturi will skipper the side and will be joined by James Yuko and Eugene Sudi in the front rows. Okiri Moturi and Stephen Wang’ondu will partner in the locks. Kenya international Dan Sikuta, Jeremy Griffins and Peter Chege form the backrow.

Victor Wayodi and Shaban Ahmed will combine at the halfbacks while Brad Owako and Marcus Mureithi will do battle in the midfield. Hyke Otieno, Brian Kivasia and Matt Wanjia are the dynamic back three.

On the reserves desk, Chris Kanyoi, Benjamin Odhiambo and Alfred Yuko will be looking to make impact off the bench. They’re joined on the bench by Felix Otieno and Kevin Atandi.
