Mwamba RFC Heads To Impala For Pre-Season Friendly

Mwamba RFC will play Resolution Health Impala Saracens RFC in the last preseason friendly in a series of two matches scheduled to take place at Impala Club on Saturday afternoon.

According to the head coach Johnny Mbai, Mwamba will use the two matches to try various combinations and structures. “We’ve been working on various structures and combinations and we hope to see how my boys will apply them in a game situation,” he told MwambaRugby.Com.

The two teams that will play Impala have been randomly selected and the coaches will be trying out various positional and tactical combinations. “We chose the two squads based on how they’ve been responding during trainings. The two teams are evenly balanced in both forwards and the backs,” he added.

Contracted sevens players will also be fielded. “We shall have Humphrey Kayange, Michael Agevi and Danny Sikuta available for the weekend,” Mbai reveleaded.

This will be the second pre-season match for Kulabu after they lost 0-28 to KCB RFC in the opening weekend of Impala Floodlit tournament a month ago.

Mwamba RFC will open their 2015/2016 Kenya Cup campaign against Western Bulls next weekend. The match will be played at Railways Grounds starting at 4.00PM.
