Mwamba RFC will donate ticket revenue in their match against Western Bulls on Saturday afternoon to Mama Loise Njambi Kabeberi medical kitty, the club treasurer Mr Anthony Karanja has revealed.
“Mama Kabeberi, George Mwangi Kabeberi’s mum, has supported our club unreservedly over the years. It’s now our turn to show our support,” he said.
George Mwangi Kabeberi is among the founders and first players of the club. He was part of the first ever club team in 1977. He passed away in 1986. He’s immortalized by the club through the annual George Mwangi Kabeberi Sevens which is part of the National Sevens Series.
Mama Kabeberi was admitted to Nairobi Hospital over a month ago and underwent brain surgery. The family announced that the surgery and her treatment overshot her insurance cover and appealed for help to clear her medical bills.
Those not able to attend this Kenya Cup match can send their donations to MPESA Paybill Number 194899.
Ticket for the Bulls match will retail at 250 bob and will be sold at the gate.
