Stanbic Mwamba names squad for Kakamega Sevens

Ronnie Omondi is back in Stanbic Mwamba jersey after six months on the sideline as Kevin Wambua names his squad for the inaugural Kakamega Sevens hosted by Western Bulls at Bull Ring, Kakamega this weekend.

Ronnie is back in the fold after he underwent a successful wrist surgery to fix a nagging injury he sustained in January 2017.

“I’m glad to be back on the pitch feeling better and stronger. I’m looking forward to winning more trophies for Kulabu and achieving personal set goals,” he told MwambaRugby.Com.

Joining Ronnie will be Tony Omondi making his sevens bow for Black Shirts after having a storming debut season in the longer version of the game. Old boy Jeremy Chimwani will also make his return to the club after four years with Championship side Kitale RFC.

Eliakim Kichoi and Billy Odhiambo have been named as co-captains for the Stanbic National Sevens Circuit.

Alex Aturo, Steven Sikuta, Michael Agevi and Mike Okello will also on the bus to Kakamega. Daniel Taabu, Collins Injera, Joel Inzuga and Greg Odhiambo complete a strong Kulabu contingent to the first ever Kakamega Sevens.
