Mwamba RFC’s physiotherapist Stella Mwende has urged college students to take up sports physiotherapy as it presents a huge opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally.
In an interview with NTV Top Sports, she revealed how she joined Mwamba RFC and how she found the atmosphere very conducive. ” When I joined Mwamba RFC, I found a structured way of doing things. From the coach, to the manager and the players. The whole team is very knowledgeable and that reeally helped me grow,” she said.
She also spoke about training methods at the club which incorporate the old and new regimes. “We try to bring in what has worked before, like mulima (road running) to latest methodologies,” she added.
Stella has worked as the club’s physiotherapist for the last three years and has helped manage, rehabilate and heal various injuries suffered by players.
“For me when clients walk in limping and in pain and they walk out fully healed and back on their feet, that gives me great joy,” she said.
