TEAM NEWS: Changes to Stanbic Mwamba squad at Prinsloo 7s

Injuries have forced head coach Kevin Wambua to make changes to the Stanbic Mwamba squad travelling to Nakuru for the annual Prinsloo Sevens set for Nakuru Athletic Club over the weekend.

Co-captains Billy Odhiambo and Eliakim Kichoi have been sidelined with Stephen Sikuta failing late fitness test on Thursday evening. “Billy has a hairline fracture in his right wrist, Eliakim has trouble with both his shoulders and knee while Sikuta has failed to recover from an ankle injury he picked from Kisumu last weekend,” Levis Kituyi, team physiotherapist told MwambaRugby.Com.

Daniel Taabu remains on the doctor’s list with touble some groin injury while promising youngster Nicholas Kato will miss this leg as he is away representing Laiser Hill School at East Africa Secondary Games in Tanzania.

In their absence, Tony Owuor will make his Sevens debut for Kulabu with another youngster Mellegy Tendwa getting the call up. Jeremy Chimwani and George Omolla have also been drafted into the squad. Hot prospect James Ochieng will take up the 13th man slot.

The team will be captained by Ronnie Omondi and Collins Injera.
