TEAM NEWS: Sudi captains Kulabu in crucial encounter

Tighthead prop Eugene Sudi will captain Mwamba Rugby Club as they head to Madaraka Grounds  to take on Strathmore Leos in a Kenya Cup clash slated for Saturday afternoon.

Sudi takes over the armband from Michael Agevi who is suspended following a red card he received during the 16-48 loss against Kenya Harlequin last weekend. Hooker Salaton Muturi will be propped by Sudi and Brian Wakili Otieno  in the loosehead position.

Stepehen Wang’ondu impressed the coaches in the 23-20 victory by the reserves against their Quins counterparts and has been a start in the lock alongside Paul Wahome. Steve Sikuta will feature for the reserves in the Eric Shirley Shield this weekend.

Veteran Humphrey Kayange will team up with George Ochieng and Ken Handas in the backrow. Ronnie Otieno and Brian Mwangi will link up in the five-eighths pairing.

In the backline, Mike Otieno replaces Agevi at fullback while Hyke Otieno comes in at blindwing for Greg Odhiambo. Patrick Ruhiu, the vice captain for the weekend, will pair up Marcus Mureithi in the midfield.

On the bench youngster Chris Hulk Asira will again be given  Kenya Cup alongside Louis Kisia, Felix Otieno, Kevin Atandi and Anthony Mbugua. Others are James Yuko, Brian Wanyanja and John Mkala.
