TEAM NEWS: Wambua makes tactical changes ahead of Nakuru clash

Mwamba Rugby Club head coach Kevin Wambua has seven changes to the team that beat Blak Blad last weekend ahead of this weekend’s crucial tie against Nakuru RFC.

The changes, both tactical and positional, have been occasioned by injuries and unavailability of a number of players. Veteran tighthead Kelvin Juma is unavailable paving way for Paul Opiyo while Brian Kahura recovers from a slight knock handing the number two jersey to Salaton Muturi. Jonah Mbari maintains his position at the loosehead.

George Omolla and Chris Asira maintain their place in the second row while Tony Owuor starts at the number 8 and will be flanked by Alex Aturo and Mike Okello. Felix Otieno will be sidelined with a tight hamstring.

In the backs, Charles Chege and Charles Kuka continue their half back partnership as Collins Injera and Joel Inzuga switch places in the midfield. Brian Kivasia gets his first start of the season on the blind wing while Ronnie Omondi moves from full back to open wing paving way for Elvis Namusasi.

The finishers are Hussein Yahya, Eugene Sudi and Alfred Yuko. They will be joined by Ambrose Mbare and veteran Edwin Machanje on the forwards bench. In the backs, Martn Oyugi, Sabala Tendwa, Felix Chacha, Idriss Shariff and Madiba Mgoya complete the matchday 23.
