Mwamba Rugby Club management has announced a raft of changes to the Technical Bench ahead of the 2017/2018 Kenya Cup season.
In the changes, former team manager Edwin Waita has been promoted to the role of Director of Rugby in charge of all the three squads (men, women and development). He will also oversee the team’s recruitment and player development.
Fahad Baptiste Adil who joined the club in June will be the Team Manager assisted by former Kenya Sevens international Edgar Abere. Alphonce Mwachia will be the club’s kit manager.
The club’s head coach Kevin Wambua will be assisted by player/coach Humphrey Kayange and Dr James Ondiege, who will also double up as the team doctor.
Ben Mahinda will be the team physiotherapist assisted by Charles Mukiri. Former Kenya Sevens strength and conditioning coach Geoffrey Onyango takes up the same role at Mwamba Rugby Club.
Kevin Atandi will continue handling the ladies team. The Ladies’ team manager docket is however still vacant after the departure of Matilda Ngunju.
This is part of the changes that started with change of guard in the captaincy announced last week.
