Stanbic Mwamba players took time off their gym and pitch schedules to join Stanbic Bank staff in celebrating Valentines Day.
The players were led by player-coach Humphrey Kayange and included mercurial flyhalf Lavin Asego, full back Michael Agevi and Kenya Sevens stars Collins Injera nd Billy Odhiambo.
The players joined Stanbic Bank’s chief executive Charles Mudiwa in handing out red roses to clients at the bank’s headquarters on Chiromo Lane, Westlands. Also present at the fete to mark the day of love was Trixxie Chibole, the bank’s marketing executive and Willis Angira, Stanbic Bank Senior Manager, Communications and Events..
The bank signed up as the Club’s main sponsor in December 2016 and was unveiled as the official shirt sponsor in March 2017, appearing on the front and the sleeve of the Mwamba’s shirt for the last season. The partnership was extended to run until January 2019.
The deal is part of a partnership that has extended beyond the shirt sponsorship and will see the two organizations collaborate in promoting community health and well-being as part of corporate social investments using rugby as a vehicle to reach out and educate the public.
